This design will be within a complete circle (360 degrees). We will be using a 60 degree rotation so there will be 6 copies of your initial drawing within the completed work.
Coloring the Design
1. Select all (Ctrl A) 2. Break apart (Ctrl B) 3. Click away from the design to de-select it. 4. Use the paint bucket to add colors. Pass in your final work.
- Create a new flash document.
- Put the pencil on SMOOTH and TURN OFF THE FILL.
- Draw your shape. You can use lines, circles, squares or pencil to draw
- Select the shape and convert it to a symbol (F8)
- Click on the FREE TRANSFORM TOOL.
- In the middle of your symbol is a rotation point (small circle). Drag the rotation point to the bottom of your design. (You choose where along the bottom to place the point)
- The next three steps will be repeated in order to get copies of the design in a circle.
- Edit- Copy (Ctrl C)
- Edit Menu- Paste in Place (Ctrl Shift V)
- Modify- Transform- Scale and rotate- set the rotation to 60 degrees
- Select your new shape by clicking on it. Repeat the three steps above.
