Preparing a video for particle illusion (using videopad)

Before you can use a video in particle illusion, you will forst need to change it to an AVI video type. We will also be making it a little smaller so it loads faster on your computer.
Open Videopad and follow the steps below.

Import your video clip by clicking on the Add File button.

Trim off the clip by adjusting the In Point and Out Point in the clip preview window (the left one)

Drag the clip to the timeline below.

Export your video.
Change your setting to the following: Change the Resolution to 854 x 480, and change the maximum frame rate to 30
Save your video in your folder so you won't lose it. Give it a new name.

Open particle illusion

Double clip on the grey box for layer 0
Go find your video clip. If you are asked if you want to make the stage the same size as the video click yes.
Save your project in your folder.
